Tia Sylvera, M.S., LMFT-A is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate who is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families find healing, clarity, and freedom. With a heart rooted in faith and a genuine love for people, Tia believes that real change happens when we feel safe, seen, and supported. Her approach is warm, curious, and compassionate, and she meets each client exactly where they are.
She earned her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Woman’s University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Child Learning Development from the University of Texas at Dallas. Tia has worked with clients across the lifespan—children, teens, couples, and families—supporting them through challenges like emotional regulation, relational conflict, co-parenting struggles, and communication breakdowns. She also incorporates play therapy when working with children in a way that helps them feel safe, empowered, and understood.
The techniques Tia uses include Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and strength-based approaches. She is deeply inspired by Attachment Theory and uses it to help clients better understand the relational patterns that shape their lives. Each session is tailored to fit the client’s unique needs, with the goal of creating meaningful and lasting change.
Outside of the therapy room, Tia enjoys staying active, working out, and spending time with her husband. She also has a deep love for music and has served as a worship leader in her church. Whether through music, movement, or a good game night, she finds joy in connecting with others and building community.
Tia would be honored to walk alongside you as you pursue healing, peace, and the fullness of life you were created for.
